Hosted by the Dora Creek School of Arts Centenary, celebrations included a morning tea, a jumping castle, giveaways and a booklet documenting the hall’s 100-year history.
Also throughout the day was a slideshow of Dora Creek photos on the hall’s data projector as well as a display of classic cars in the hall’s back lawn.
Southlakes Mens Shed also ran a barbeque for the event.
The school committee extended a “huge thanks” to the community for participating in the historic occasion.
“Without [the community] the celebration would not have happened,” committee members Chris Gavenlock said. “Thank you.”
Ms Gavenlock also said the committee were looking for more images of Dora Creek and Eraring, particularly focusing on the community hall.
“We’d like more photos … to add to our collection,” Ms Gavenlock said. “If you have any, contact me.”
He also welcomed more volunteers “if they had the time to give”.
“Volunteering is a great way to get involved in the community,” she added.
Dora Creek School of Arts meets at the hall every third Tuesday of the month.
