Police investigate armed robbery at Buff Point grocery store on April 15

A MAN armed with a firearm allegedly held up a grocery store on Bruce Road, Buff Point, about 8pm yesterday.

Police were told the man threatened staff demanding money.

The man fled the scene in a grey SUV, possibly being driven by another person, with cash and other items.

The vehicle was last seen heading north on Bruce Road.

The man is described as being caucasion, about 170cm tall with a strong Australian accent.

He was wearing a black hooded-jumper, black tracksuit pants and had his face covered.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the incident.
