Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions during the essential maintenance work.
Roads and Maritime Services advises the work will be carried out under the bridge and across the highway, involving joint maintenance to ensure continued and safe operation of the bridge.
“Pedestrian access will be maintained, but on occasions the walkway may be temporarily obstructed and members of the project team will be on site to provide safe pedestrian access,” the RMS spokesperson said.
To minimise impact to motorists, work will be carried out at night from 6pm to 4am, from Monday to Thursday.
“It is expected work will be completed by Tuesday, April 24, weather permitting,” the spokesperson said.
“For the safety of workers and motorists during work hours, single-lane closures, traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40kph will be in place.
“Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, follow the direction of signs and traffic control.”
