Ingenia Lifestyle project sales manager Jason Webb said the Morisset areas had become a destination of choice for many seniors moving away from the city to free up the equity in their old home.
“Downsizers have snapped up more than 70 per cent of Stage 1, with the second stage launching at this weekend’s open day as the demand for over-55s housing and age-appropriate living requirements skyrockets,” Mr Webb said.
“Our regional and coastal communities are benefitting greatly from Sydney’s peak property market, with the enquiry levels from Sydney couples increasing over the past few months.”
Morisset’s proximity to the Hunter Valley, the shores of Lake Macquarie, and Sydney, were all part of the town’s appeal, he said.
Ingenia Lifestyle residents Barrie and Norma Ross are an example of former Sydney residents who moved to Morisset to downsize.
“After living in Sydney for most of our lives, we wanted to get out of the city for a more relaxing lifestyle,” Mr Ross said.
“Living at The Grange gives us the option of enjoying the serenity but still being close enough to important amenities and just a 90 minute train ride to Sydney if we do want to head in.
“If anyone is considering a move to The Grange, come in and really experience the community life, social events and location for yourself – you’ll never want to leave.”
Ingenia Lifestyle The Grange is opening its doors to locals looking to downsize at the open day on Saturday, March 10, from 10am to 2pm.
Guests are invited to sit back and enjoy a soulful Saturday with entertainment from a Beatles tribute band and a delicious selection of local food trucks, Mr Webb said.
Ingenia Lifestyle The Grange is at 4 Gimberts Road, Morisset.
