The Red Dove Choir is part of the Morisset Uniting ‘Church in the Trees’, and held their musical performance on Saturday, December 16.
They combined for the Christmas Carols Flashmob with the Toronto Uniting Church, as well as the Stilling Street Singers for the very first time.
Rob Hanks, from the Uniting Church, said that the event was a big success, and that the “fifty people having coffee, shopping and Christmas cards” did “eventually join in the impromptu performance of carols”.
The choir performed classic Christmas hits like Little Drummer Boy, and old classic carols like O Come All Ye Faithful and Hark the Herald Angels Sing.
They were also accompanied by a number of musicians that played violins, drums, flutes and keyboards.
Hanks was glad that everything went so smoothly, and said it was an “offering of celebration, and a gift to shoppers at the community”.
