Students around the area are invited to enter their best Christmas design each year, and this season’s theme was ‘Christmas On Our Lakes’.
Owen, a Year 3 student at St Brendan’s Catholic Primary School, in Lake Munmorah, included festive sharks in his entry.
Mr Conroy decided he couldn’t go past the festive sharks, as well as enjoying Owen’s great eye for colour.
The winning design is professionally printed and will be Mr Conroy’s official Christmas card for 2017 – it will be sent to the Prime Minister, MPs, senators, the Governor General, organisations and schools around the country and communities in the Shortland electorate.
