He’s also sunk a hole-in-one at the Australian Masters.
But it was masters of a different sporting type for the Hunter professional golfer on Wednesday afternoon.
The 42-year-old made his cricketing debut for Toronto when the Kookaburras’ overs 35s visited Hamilton-Wickham at Passmore Oval for round three of the second annual Newcastle Masters competition.
However, it wasn’t Green’s first foray into the 11-player game.
“I played juniors at Warners Bay and a bit in the states [US] when I was on tour,” he said.
“Mainly down in Dallas with a few of the other Aussies and a lot of Indian expats. I probably played around 10 or 15 games of T20.”
Green, fresh from appearances at the Australian PGA Championships and Australian Open, lined up alongside his brother Darren and a few other mates.
He may also end up filling in for the club’s fourth grade side throughout the season.
