The benefit for the area is estimated to be more than $6.7 million by the National Institute of Economic and Industry Research, a boost that Council’s Director of Connected Communities Julie Vaughn welcomed with open arms.
“Attendance was up across all events with more people going to more than one event highlighting it has become a true Festival with something for everyone,” Ms Vaughan said. “Opening up extra events from Budgewoi to Ettalong was a great success.”
Highlights for the Festival included the Light Up The Lake at Memorial Park that saw The Potbelleez headlining, and the outdoor movie night at Budgewoi that screened both Beauty and the Beast and La La Land.
