The Community Christmas Carols at Avondale School, in Cooranbong, had barely concluded on Sunday night when social media began to light up with thanks and praise from locals.

The school’s Terrina Mesaric said an estimated 5000 people attended an awesome night.
“The was a great atmosphere, the weather was fantastic, and did you see the moon!” Ms Mesaric said.
“Fireworks at the end of the night topped off a great event.”
And is seems local families agreed.

The on-stage performers included Harrison Craig, Colin Buchanan, Felix Quinn Music, Ashrae, Dan Murphy and The Promise.
Santa’s arrival by helicopter was a highlight.
