A MAN died when the car he was driving left the road and struck a tree at Doyalson last night.

About 7.30pm, emergency services were called to Link Road, Doyalson, following reports of a crash.
Police have been told a Holden Commodore crashed into a guard rail, before travelling up an embankment and hitting a tree.
The driver and sole occupant, a 74-year-old man, was removed from the vehicle. The man was administered CPR, but he could not be saved.
Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, including whether the driver may have suffered a medical episode.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
