The championships attracted 27 teams of cadet (junior) firefighters aged from 12 to 16 from around Australia.
Over three days during the school holidays last week, the 162 cadets took part in eight events designed to test the skills and teamwork of the young firefighters.
Lake Macquarie Central Cadets were 10th overall.
South West Slopes Cadets were overall champions.
The championships also aim to develop each cadet’s skills, encourage interaction between cadets from across the country, and share ideas.
Rural Fire Service Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons was among the special guests.
