Registrations are now being taken by locals who are keen to clean up a site in their neighbourhood on Sunday, October 29.
Graffiti vandalism costs local businesses, households, the state government and Lake Macquarie City Council millions of dollars each year.
This is money which could be invested into roads, sporting facilities, schools and hospitals.
“Graffiti Removal Day draws attention to the fight against graffiti vandalism and encourages people to get involved in the removal and prevention of graffiti,” Graffiti Removal Day spokesperson, Pam Wellham, said.
Register to volunteer, or suggest a clean-up site, by completing a form at graffitiremovalday.org.au.
