LAKE Macquarie City Council on Monday voted to support the preparation of a planning proposal for a rezoning at Wyee Road, Wyee, to facilitate future retail and commercial development. The proposed rezoning would affect about 4000 square metres of land between the existing Wyee shops, and Wyee Public School. The rezoning plan would go on public exhibition subject to the outcome of a gateway determination that will be sought by the council from the Department of Planning and Environment.
