Saturday’s competition at the Wangi netball courts was the last before the Westlakes District Netball Association semi-finals and, for many teams, it was the chance to stay in the running for another game.
Round 15 saw 66 teams from five clubs go head to head.
Congratulations to the minor premiers in each division who, this Saturday, will play against the second-seeded teams for a spot in the grand final, while third and fourth-ranked teams play off for the chance to play in the final and, perhaps, the grand final.
The 2017 minor premiers are: Div 1 - Bolton Point Doodlebugs; Div 2 - Rathmines Eagles (undefeated); Div 3 - Wangi Arcadia Silver Bullets; Div 4 - Bolton Point Comets; Div 5 - Bolton Point Invincibles; Jun 1 - Rathmines Avengers; Jun 2- Bolton Point Breezers; Jun 3- Wangi Arcadia Minions; Jun 4- Joeys Netball JJs; Net Set Go 10 - Morisset Miracles; Net Set Go 9 - Bolton Point Goldenstars; and Net Set Go 7/8 - Wangi Arcadia Zooper Doopers.
It has been a brilliant season, unhindered by weather and boosted by the opening of a new clubhouse and hosting the Hunter State League finals. With three games left to play, we wish all players good luck. Finally, a huge thank you to our umpires who make each week possible with their tireless commitment to making games fair, safe and free flowing.
