Local farmers, growers, producers, and artisans are looking forward to sharing their knowledge and products with customers.
The market will be held from 8am to 1pm on the first Saturday of every month.
It will offer a range of seasonal fresh produce including fruit and vegetables, herbs, plants, seafood, baked goods, and gourmet foods all sourced locally from Lake Macquarie, Central Coast, Hunter Valley and Port Stephens producers.
The market will also feature a selection of local artisan creations including art and crafts, and home wares.
“Come by and say hello to Mandalong Farm owner Warwick who grows a range of chillis and creates the best sauces, which are delicious with anything,” Brenda Hartmire, of Lake Side Marketing and Events, said.
“Try something from his range which includes Hot Sauce, Hot BBQ Sauce, Hot Tomato Sauce, Hot Sweet Chilli Sauce, Jalapeno Sauce, and Smoked Chilli Flakes.”
Ms Hartmire said the venue was ideal for the markets.
“With a great selection of cafes and food vendors in Toronto, come along and enjoy a delicious breakfast and coffee options with your family and friends before you start exploring the local produce,” she said.
“Enjoy sampling and taking home all the goodies you will need to prepare your own gourmet dishes at home.”
The Farmers and Artisan Market at Toronto would always be held – rain, hail or shine, she said.
“The Farmers and Artisan Market at Toronto is always on, due to the pre-booked wet weather venue. If the Toronto Foreshore is unusable, the market will be held under cover at Toronto High School, on Awaba Road.”
