Thieves steal $500 roll of shade cloth from Wangi Hardware

THIEVES have stolen a $500 roll of shade cloth from Wangi Hardware, and damaged items at the business. Owner Sonja Dyke-Clark said the thieves gained access to the front of her property some time between Sunday night, November 27, and Monday morning. They also took the valuable metal bar the cloth was stored on, and smashed a ceramic pot on the store’s verandah. Ms Dyke-Clasrk estimates at least two offenders would have been needed to lift the roll of cloth and get it over the barbed-wire fence.
