At the SBCCA’s recent special meeting, a motion to close the organisation was defeated and a new steering committee established.
The committee comprises Fiona Hall, Debbie Worthington, June Austen, Karen Honeyman Noble and Michelle Davis.
The women have committed to drive the organisation “with a greater business focus”.
Mrs Davis said the previous committee, including former acting president Bruce Baylis, was thanked for its commitment to the district.
The first function for the new SBCCA committee will be a business breakfast at Morisset Multi-purpose Centre on Wednesday, October 19, at 6.45am.
