The unwrapped gifts were distributed to needy families through the Combined Charities Christmas Warehouse.
“Thank you to everyone who donated to this year’s Christmas Toy Appeal,” mayor Jodie Harrison said.
“I’m delighted that Lake Macquarie residents once again rallied to help give less fortunate families in our community a happy Christmas.
“I would also like to acknowledge the efforts of Samaritans and the Salvation Army who operate the Combined Charities Christmas Warehouse and work so tirelessly to bring joy to the lives of thousands of families across our region, especially during the festive season.”
