“We’ve worked hard to create our new all-weather riding facilities which include a covered riding arena, new stable complex, tack room, parent viewing deck and new art gallery for the region,” Yara Balba’s Margrete Erling said.
The new gallery, in a separate building to the existing Yara Balba art studio, will be known as the Tack Shed Gallery, and would be used for exhibiting students’ work, and for use by Lake Macquarie artists, Ms Erling said.
The new facilities will be officially launched on Saturday, December 12, from 11.30am to 1.30pm.
Yara Balba Stables is an accredited delivery centre for the Ready Set Trot program which teaches young people horse riding skills.
Representatives of the program will present a carnival for children in the arena at the launch. Lessons are held at Yara Balba on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
