The council's culture services manager, Narelle Reichert, said customers could use the new 3D printer and scanner to create architectural models, toys and jewellery, and even replacement parts for a variety of objects.
"The Structure 3D scanner is a first for Lake Mac Libraries," Ms Reichert said.
"It is a small device that attaches to an iPad and uses an infrared camera, depth sensor and the iPad's camera to create 3D models of real-world objects."
