DOUG Saxon's book, A History of Eraring and its School, has had a second print run, and copies are now available.
The 84-page book contains more than 200 photographs and was launched in March by Lake Macquarie MP Greg Piper.
"All of the books that were printed [in the first print run] were sold and the school is now taking orders for the re-print," Mr Saxon said.
Mr Saxon is a retired primary school teacher and principal.
Among the local schools he taught at are Bonnells Bay (1983-1986) and Awaba (1987).
"I began writing local history books when I was a teaching principal in small schools," he said.
Since his retirement, Mr Saxon has written several local history books.
In 2012, he wrote Bonnells Bay Public School - Celebrating the Centenary 1912-2012.
