NAIDOC stands for the National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee.
And this week is all about celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and contributions in various fields.
After a flag-raising ceremony at Toronto Court House, participants joined a street march down The Boulevarde to the foreshore.
Activities on the foreshore included live entertainment, displays by local service providers and a free barbecue.

WET WALK: Biraban Local Aboriginal Land Council led the street march through the drizzle and down The Boulevarde at Toronto.
SUITED AND BOOTED: Locals CJ and Aidan Cukier enjoyed the police's interactive display with Inspector Sam Crisafulli.
ENTERTAINER: Ceddy McGrady performed his evocative songs from the rotunda.
SUPPORT: Nathan Brennan, TAFE's Aboriginal community liaison officer for Lake Macquarie, was among the many local service providers on hand.
ALL ABOARD: The SolarSailor vessel was among the attractions on the Toronto foreshore.
