FIRE fighters remained on scene for almost seven hours at an industrial blaze in Kurri Kurri on Tuesday.

Fire and Rescue NSW were called to a building on Mitchell Avenue just before 1pm on April 9.
The fire caused the evacuation of 15 people from the building and 11 fire trucks were called in to fight the blaze.
A FRNSW spokesperson said just before 6pm on Tuesday evening that crews were monitoring the situation and were soon planning to apply compressed air foam to the blaze.
Upon arrival at the scene fire fighters discovered a blaze had started in the building's "dust collector" and the inferno had started to whip through the inside of the industrial complex, the spokesman said.
Crews ensured all 15 people had safely evacuated the building before the fire rating level was escalated and several teams, as well as a duty commander were called to the scene.
The fire was of no threat to neighbouring properties, but due to the nature of the blaze involving a large amount of dust, fire crews had to utilise a range of techniques to reduce air pollution including fire-fighting foam.
NSW Police and NSW Ambulance paramedics were also on scene.
