A man has died at the scene of car crash on the Central Coast.
About 6.25pm Monday emergency services were called to Lakedge Avenue, Berkeley Vale, to reports of a two-vehicle crash.
On arrival officers found a Ford Laser hatchback had crashed into the rear of a parked Toyota Hi-Ace van.
The driver of the hatchback, a man aged 41, died at the scene.
Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District will investigate the fatality and prepare a report for the Coroner.
A second man died in a single-vehicle crash near Lake Macquarie.
Just after 4.30pm Monday police and emergency services were called to Dorrington Road, Rathmines, following reports a car had struck a power pole.
The driver, a 65-year-old man, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, but died at the scene.
Officers attached to Lake Macquarie Police District with assistance from Crash Investigation Unit, established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Initial inquiries suggest the man may have suffered from a medical episode.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
