LOCAL mortgage broker Debbie Worthington has made Mortgage Professional Australia magazine’s list of top 100 brokers in Australia by volume, after writing more that $64 million in mortgages last financial year.

Ms Worthington is the owner of Mortgage Choice offices at Morisset, Charlestown and Warners Bay.
She was named at 100 on the list which ranks Australia’s leading brokers by the volume of residential mortgages they wrote over 12 months.
In the 2016-17 financial year, Ms Worthington wrote 264 residential loans totalling $67,214,233.
“I am really excited that I made the list at number 100 - it really is a good number to be,” Ms Worthington said.
Ms Worthington said she had been in business 15 years, and started from a home office.
“I now have a team of eight, including financial planners,” she said.
Ms Worthington is also the current brand ambassador for Mortgage Choice, having been awarded the role at the Mortgage Choice national conference in January.
Her local Mortgage Choice offices are also known for their annual trivia nights.
“The trivia night program we run has been going for 14 years, raising over $250,000 for schools and charities in that time,” Ms Worthington said.
