Last year’s arena production, hosted at QUDOS Bank Arena, Sydney Olympic Park, recorded the highest attendance for an amateur variety act, an accomplishment that earned them a place in the history books for Guiness World Records.
Now in 2017 the event is on again at Sydney Olympic Park, this time with the theme “Own the Moment”.
Central Coast schools that will be representing the Hunter region will include Belmont High, Berkeley Vale, Bolwarra, Callaghan College (Jesmond and Wallsend), Ettalong, Floraville, Forster Public, Gloucester, Gorokan, Great Lakes College Senior Campus, Hunter School of Performing Arts, Kariong Mountains High, Lisarow High, Maitland Grossman High, Merewether High, Narara Valley High, Northlakes High, Rutherford High, Tuggerah, Wadalba Community School and Wamberal.
Schools Spectacular Creative Director, Sonja Sjolander, is excited to host the 2017 entry into the event’s history books, and believes that after their record-breaking moment last year, this year’s show “is set to go a step higher”.
“It will be mind-blowing,” Sjolander said. “There are so many young stars – whether signing or dancing on the huge stage or standing in the spotlight alone captivating the audience.”
The event will be held at QUDOS Bank Arena on Friday, November 24 and Saturday, November 25. Tickets are available for the performance extravaganza at schoolsspectacular.com.au/the-show/tickets.
