The four Lake Mac Holiday Parks are offering race fans affordable accommodation from as cheap as $32 a night.
Among them is Wangi Point Lakeside Holiday Park, which is just 40km from the Newcastle foreshore.
“Lake Mac Holiday Parks offer an affordable option to spectators, with accommodation prices ranging from $32 per night for an unpowered camp site to $225 per night for a deluxe villa,” Lake Macquarie mayor Kay Fraser said.
The other Lake Mac Holiday Parks are at Belmont, Swansea and Blacksmiths Beach. Public transport is available close to each holiday park, the council said.
