Payground facilities will be developed at Bolton Point Park, Bolton Point; Edwards Park, Booragul; and Luskin Way Park, Belmont North.
Council’s community assets section manager, Brendan Callander, said the new facilities would meet the needs of the growing community.
“Recreation areas and playgrounds are a central part of our community; providing places for children to play and for parents to meet and socialise with others,” Mr Callander said.
Council will also contribute $150,000 towards the three playgrounds, with works expected to be completed within the next 12 months.
“Council is always looking for opportunities to partner with external agencies to provide facilities for the community, and is excited to be working with the Department of Family and Child Services for the development of these playgrounds.
