The strategy will set the direction for the next four years and look at ways to support older residents to access council’s services and facilities and provide opportunities to connect and be active.
Council’s community planning acting manager, Andrew Bryant, said council wanted to connect with residents to identify key focus areas and actions that will meet the needs of our ageing population.
“To get there, we need to hear from our over-55 community, carers, service providers and residents, about their experiences, what we do well, and new ideas for improvement,” he said.
So, what are the services and facilities that are important as we age? Provide your feedback at shape.lakemac.com.au/over55s-strategy before Monday, October 23.
