THE Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called out to search for two missing kayak paddlers who were reported to have been blown out to sea on Saturday. The helicopter crew conducted a search of the Lake Macquarie coast and discovered that the pair had made it back into Swansea Channel. The helicopter landed on the shore close to the kayakers and was able to inquire about their health. The crew confirmed that both kayakers were in good condition.
