Make sure you have your child’s birth certificate and a proof of address (which can be in the form of the primary caregiver’s rental lease, rates or other bill). 

Have a copy of any family law documents if the child’s natural parents aren’t the primary caregivers, and most will want to see their immunisation history.

Additionally, if the child is not an Aussie citizen remember their passport, visa and other related documentation.

Make sure you inform the school of any allergies or medical conditions.

And finally, consider whether you wish for your child’s name to be publishable. Weigh up any concerns you have with internet privacy against the benefits of having your child’s participation and achievements recognised publicly.
