These finals rounds are the culmination of a season of hard work, including gruelling training sessions, off-court fitness and match play.
Many players not only play, but also coach younger teams and umpire, meaning that they dedicate each and every Saturday to the sport of netball, their respective clubs, and Westlakes as a whole.
Good luck to all teams on Saturday. Play hard. Play fair. Respect the players and umpires and role model good sportsmanship.
Pamella Burt, president of Westlakes, delivered a message of inspiration for the players from abroad this week:
“I wish all the teams that are in the semi-finals, good play in the spirit of our great game. Respect your fellow players and umpires. Thank you to all the clubs and Westlakes for your support to provide the 2017 competition.”
