Police will allege a 23-year-old man sustained critical head injuries after he was assaulted at the front of a home on Wallarah Road, Gorokan, about 12.20am on Sunday, May 28.
The man was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital and remains in a stable condition.
Strike Force Trebbiano, comprising detectives from Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command, was established to investigate the incident.
Following inquiries, police arrested a 23-year-old man at an address in Scone on Tuesday.
He was charged with cause grievous bodily harm to person with intent and was refused bail to appear at Muswellbrook Local Court.
About 11.20am yesterday, a 24-year-old man was arrested at an address at Somersby.
He was taken to Wyong Police Station and charged with grievous bodily harm assault with intent, and conceal a serious indictable offence.
The 24-year-old was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Wyong Local Court next month.
