Greg Piper says Wyong Hospital verdict was a win for 'people power'

INDEPENDENT Lake Macquarie MP Greg Piper has described the state government’s decision to abandon a public-private partnership for the $200-million redevelopment of Wyong Hospital as a “great victory for people power”. The government announced that it would, instead, proceed with the hospital's $200m expansion alone. “It's good news for the many people in southern Lake Macquarie who use the hospital and who joined others on the Central Coast in the effort to keep it public,” Mr Piper said.
