Lake Macquarie City Council manages four swim centres across the city, at Charlestown, Speers Point, Swansea and West Wallsend.

Leisure services acting manager Jeff Green said the award helped to reinforce the positive feedback Lake Mac Swim Centres received from customers.

“Lake Mac Swim Centres regularly gathers feedback from customers to help us identify opportunities to improve our customer service,” Mr Green said.

“Last year we conducted a user survey that showed a 97 per cent centre satisfaction rating across our four council-managed facilities.

“Customer feedback forms submitted online and at our centres tells us our staff are ‘a welcoming presence’, ‘competent’, ‘courteous’, ‘polite’ and ‘professional’, which is fantastic to hear.

“Council is committed to putting our customers first and it’s great to see these efforts rewarded at a state level last night.”
