The workshop is aimed at those with basic sewing machine skills. Upcycle Newcastle will provide some sewing machines, jean scraps, and sewing accessories.
They will also have old jeans available for participants to purchase at $1 each.
Participants are encouraged to provide their own sewing machine and sewing accessories, if available, and jeans to upcycle.
This free workshop is a Lake Macquarie City Council and NSW EPA Waste Less Recycle More initiative funded by the waste levy.
It will be held at Southlake Community Centre, at Morisset Multipurpose Centre. Bookings essential at upcycling@transitionnewcastle.org.au or 0411 434 013.
