Club spokesperson Kelsy Johnson said the Hammerheads were on a roll, having won all four games this season.
“It’s been a few years since the Hammerheads have started the year off so well,” Johnson said.
Southern Lakes will face Newcastle-based team Easts 1 at Gibson Oval at 3pm.
The Hammerheads lead the ladder on 18 points. Easts 1 sit mid-table on 9 points.
The Morisset team has so far accounted for Easts 2 (33-5), Griffins (31-6), Muswellbrook (19-17) and Cooks Hill 1 (12-7).
“After this round we have a bye, so if we can win this week it will be a really good start to the season,” Johnson said.
