Police from Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command and NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to Hastings Street, Rocky Point, about 3.40pm and found a primary school-aged girl with multiple injuries.

First aid was rendered to the child, however, she died at the scene.

The driver of a truck has been taken for mandatory testing.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
