Council allocates $9000 for Lake Macquarie events

LAKE Macquarie City Council allocated more than $9000 in funding towards community events and activities at its meeting on Monday night. Among the recipients was the Blast From the Past: Rock and Roll Picnic, at Toronto (which received $2,099), Toronto Arts and Crafts Fair ($2,220), and the Nine Mile Classic ($4,200). The Nine Mile Classic is a new swimming event developed by Swansea-Belmont Surf Lifesaving Club to replace the Across the Lake Swim.
