Lake Macquarie City Council votes to 'note' Cr John Gilbert's push for safe party regulation

LAKE Macquarie City Council has voted to “note” a plan by Cr John Gilbert to push for “safe party regulation” at this year’s state and national conferences for councils. Cr Gilbert is seeking tougher Queensland-style laws defining “out-of-control” parties and giving police more powers to act on, and courts more powers to punish, organisers of such parties.
