Many people have moved to the south-western side of Lake Macquarie for the peace and tranquillity of its semi-rural and bushland environment which will be shattered by this poorly justified proposal to have helicopters clattering over our houses up to eight times per day.
Do we want these noisy machines disrupting our lifestyles, upsetting small craft with their rotor downwash, polluting the air with their toxic exhaust gases, disturbing local birdlife – particularly those species already endangered – and probably depressing property values?
Have your say now before it is too late.
Write to the Department of Planning and Environment, GPO Box 39, Sydney NSW 2001, quoting: MP 06_0309 MOD 3.
