The annual Summer Reading Club is on again. It encourages children and young people to read over the summer holidays as a fun way to develop literacy skills and foster a lifelong love of reading.
This year’s Summer Book Club theme is “Be the hero. Be the villain” and using your imagination to be part of the action.
The Summer Reading Club runs from December to January each year. Children and young people who register for the reading club can visit any of the Lake Macquarie Libraries to pick up a free starter pack.
You can also register for the club online at library.lakemac.com.au and the best part is it is free and there are prizes to be won.
Registrations will remain open until January 31, 2017.
