Daniels brings the legendary entertainers to life in a three-hour concert at Royal Motor Yacht Club on Saturday night, December 10.
Daniels is considered one of the finest tribute artists in Australia.
Critics have hailed him a “master showman” and the “King of cabaret”.
Importantly, he has the vocal chops and the stage presence to wow audiences with his faithful renditions of all three distinctive singing voices.
“With an incredible vocal range of over three octaves and the ability to re-create the vocal sounds of the greatest singers from the 60’s, Eddie Daniels is unique,” a spokesperson for the artist said.
“Eddie is able to move his audience through the music of these three amazing entertainers, giving them that unmistakable goosebump-and-shiver-down-the-spine feeling that you only get from experiencing something very, very special.”
Daniels’ career in the entertainment business has spanned decades and includes national and international touring, acting roles in TV commercials and sitcoms, and a recording career with 10 top selling CDs.
Daniels’ rendition of the unmistakable voice of the late Gene Pitney regularly stuns audiences.
He performs all of Pitney’s biggest hits, including The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, 24 Hours From Tulsa, Half Heaven, Half Heartache, and Jukebox.
Then there’s Roy Orbison, one of the most outstanding singers and songwriters of all time.
Orbison had more than 50 top 10 hits and sold millions of records worldwide.
“Orbison was described as a clear tenor that soared into an angelic falsetto. Quite simply he had the voice of an angel,” the spokesperson said.
“Eddie has toured the world for more than 25 years performing his Memories of Orbison Show, which is vocally perfect and visually stunning.
“Many people comment about how close Eddie’s vocal is to Orbison’s.”
The Toronto audience will hear the best of Orbison’s greatest hits, from the early days to the Mystery Girl album.
Daniels brings the show home with his tribute to Elvis.
“What superlatives have not been used over and over to describe this amazing superstar?” the spokesperson said.
“Beamed around the world via satellite in 1973, Elvis re-created himself that night, performing a combination of his rockabilly hits and beautiful ballads. He silenced his critics and showed the world why he is The King.”
Daniels will cover Elvis’s greatest hits from In the Ghetto to American Trilogy.
“Eddie moves his audience on an emotional rollercoaster from sad ballads to the humour and sense of fun that was Elvis.”
Tickets for a two-course dinner and show cost $65.
