In his role as site director, Mr Wood is responsible for all aspects of the running of the centre, from maintenance of buildings and grounds, and the repair and maintenance of equipment, to management and rostering of staff, finances, planning and executing capital works on site.

He established that business and ran environmentally sensitive kayak tours of the waterways surrounding Newcastle.
Mr Wood was also a principal mining engineer and mine manager with 30 years’ experience in various roles worldwide.
Mr Wood encouraged Morisset peninsula residents to attend Wednesday’s meeting, and to engage with the progress association.
“Community groups like the Bonnells Bay Progress Association and the Sunshine Progress Association were established to support residents on the Morisset Peninsula but cannot be successful without the full support of the Peninsula residents,” Mr Wood said.
The meeting will be held at Bonnells Bay Community Centre, on Fishery Point Road, from 7.30pm.
