Santa has finished adding his final touches to the scenery and is set to flick the switch on the southern hemisphere’s biggest display of more than 2 million lights.
“From November 4 to January 26, the gardens will be lit up with even more features and Christmas delights, and most importantly, more lights than ever before,” a spokesperson for Hunter Valley Gardens said.
“This year we will welcome several new additions, including Santa’s Workshop, complete with Santa, his elves, photo opportunities, and letters to Santa.”
Santa photos will be available until Christmas Eve, and fireworks displays will be held on the opening night and New Year’s Eve at 9pm.
Visitors can experience the new Christmas Lights Fun Zone, which allows unlimited play on a range of inflatables, jumping castles, obstacle courses, an arcade alley and a 35 metre long slide.
Gates open at 6.30pm and close at 10pm.
- Tickets cost $28 for adults, $23 for children (aged 4 to 15 years), children aged 3 years and younger are admitted free. A family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) costs $92.
