From the way they’re spoken to, the activities they play, the ‘what’ and ‘how’ they learn, Little Miracles make sure children get the best opportunity for success through the highest quality care and education.
They have programs in place to get children ready for kindergarten, and those programs kick in from the baby room and continue through to the preschool rooms.
Educators are trusted, highly trained and hand-picked. They aim is to give children the confidence required to cope with school, with a major focus on pre-reading and pre-writing.
“This includes writing their name, using scissors, looking after their own belongings, following instructions, rotating table activities [which simulates kindergarten practices] and more,” Head of Curriculum, Anna Parry-Jones, said.
“Approximately 90 per cent of Little Miracles children are reading by the time they hit school as a result of the Loving Language program.”
Loving Language covers all the different aspects of literature and reading and includes Little Miracles’ patented Teach Your Toddler to Read program (TYTTR).
A culture of honour, derived by founder and visionary Susanna Bateman ensures carers, educators, parents, and children promote respect and a positive attitude within the Little Miracles family. Individualised routines for children 0-2 make the transition from home to care is smooth for both child and parent.
Educators assist children, and parents, to settle in quickly because separation anxiety can be a two-way street.
Staff make sure feeding and sleep routines for younger children match up with home life so disruption to family rhythms are minimal.
Little Miracles pride themselves on creating home-like learning havens using an array of strategies including the simplicity of the aesthetics, with orientation a crucial part of the process.
Little Miracles’ innovative iChild program enables parent to have real-time access to all information concerning their child, such as feeding, sleeping, routines, etc.
Their Toronto centre opened in January this year and is welcoming new families every week. The wonderful staff, modern resources and their small farm are delighting families from all over the greater Toronto area.
They are very excited to be opening their newest centre in Swansea in March 2017 and welcoming families from east Lake Macquarie.
