THE number of greyhounds out of a job by next July should be far less than predicted. One would have thought, and hoped, that the deadline set would have ended all present breeding programs, considering that all greyhound pups born after the notice would be too young to race before the cut off date.

Those who have continued breeding greyhounds, knowing the pups would not be needed, and probably put down, are the very reason this industry is being shut down.
