Beginning in 1996 at the historic Wyndham Estate Winery almost 100,000 people have converged on the Hunter Valley for an evening of passionate performance.
This year the event will be held at Roche Estate, formerly Tempus Two, in the heart of Pokolbin.
It will feature four famous and popular opera singers including sopranos Natalie Aroyan, Greta Bradman, tenor David Hobson and international guest tenor Richard Troxell, of the US.
Maestro Brian Castles-Onion will compere proceedings and present a programme of romantic arias, duets and comic ensembles by the great composers Mozart, Puccini and Verdi.
Organisers say even the “opera-shy” will be familiar with these unforgettable masterpieces brought to vibrant life with a full orchestra under the stars.
“Guests are invited to arrive early to savour the exceptional delights of some great local food and wine at the stunningly architecturally designed Roche Estate,” event organisers said.
Tickets are limited and seats are expected to fill fast. Early bookings for the best seats are encouraged.
