TORONTO Rotary Club recently presented the Breast Centre, at Gateshead, with $19,000 as part of its annual support for breast cancer research. The latest donation brings the total raised by the Toronto club to more than $220,000 since 2005. Club president Timothy Rossington said the money was raised mainly through Rotary golf days at Waratah Golf Club which were supported by local sponsors. The money is used to fund equipment and research at the centre.
