Dave Wood was elected president of the group at the April 13 meeting, with Cheryl Buerckner, Yolande Bull and David Jones forming the new committee.
Retiring president Col Roach said the quarterly meeting was open to all local residents.
“Community groups like the Bonnells Bay Progress Association and the Sunshine Progress Association were established to support residents on the Morisset Peninsula but cannot be successful without the full support of the peninsula residents,” Mr Roach said.
Mr Roach said he was pleased a new committee had been elected to carry on the community work of the association which was established many decades ago.
Guest speaker at the meeting will be Kerry Morrissey, a member of the Rotary Club of Morisset for almost 26 years, and one of the first women to join Rotary.
The meeting will be held at Bonnells Bay Community Centre, on Fishery Point Road, Bonnells Bay, on Wednesday, June 1, starting at 7.30pm.
